Snowflake already has SQL and governed agent tools

Snowflake-managed MCP is generally available, excluding government regions. A directly exposed Cortex Analyst tool returns generated SQL; a separate SQL execution tool can run it. Analyst through MCP accepts semantic views. Direct SQL defaults to read-only. Snowflake recommends a Cortex Agent as the client-facing entry point for governed business questions, with a separate server and role when direct SQL is also required. Managed MCP guide.

Setup includes an MCP server object in a database/schema, selected tool resources, and the relevant privileges. Server access does not replace permissions on its underlying resources. Snowflake also provides managed ingestion. Its Salesforce Openflow connector is generally available, with source authorization and destination/runtime setup. Bring Salesforce and Chargebee into the same review

Grant these Sources to your agent, then use list_sources and list_datasets, following pagination on both, and describe_dataset to inspect actual logical relations. Prepare an account to billing-customer map, including Chargebee site boundaries. Several billing customers can roll into one reporting account; matching company names is insufficient. Evaluate one renewal answer end to end

Open the Salesforce–Chargebee plan and download the platform evaluation worksheet. Use the same account mapping, observation date, and expected output for either platform. Record setup completed, permissions needed, missing datasets, and the query that produced the answer.

Aggregate subscriptions and overdue invoices separately, then join by account and currency. Overdue means a positive remaining balance, a qualifying unpaid status, and a due timestamp before the snapshot. Atlas has two upcoming terms and one $500 overdue invoice. Joining the invoice to both subscriptions would double the balance. Birch has one non-renewing term and no overdue balance; an invoice due exactly at the snapshot is excluded. Keep currencies separate and normalize their units explicitly.

Run the teaching fixture in DuckDB, then adapt its logical tables and syntax to your actual environment.
